This illustrated book is presented by Illinois Department of Natural Resources and University of Illinois and focuses on how to preserve, enhance, conserve and manage natural habitats for wildlife in Illinois. The text is accompanied by stunning photographs. This book is available for $25 (add $5 for shipping and handling).
 

ILLINOIS URBAN MANUAL CD
The Illinois Urban Manual CD is a guide to assist developers, planners, engineers, consultants, and local governments with "how to" step by step conservation practices in the urban sector. This unique manual should be used as a companion guide to the Illinois Procedures and Standards for Urban Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control (Greenbook), greatly expanding and updating the procedures and specifications found in Chapter 6. It effectively replaces the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency's 1987 Standards and Specifications for Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control (Yellowbook). Covered in more than 1,000 pages are numerous conservation practices and standards highlighted from the planning procedures through implementation and maintenance. Individual chapters cover planning procedures, standards, construction and material specifications, standards drawings and evaluation processes.
